If there’s one thing I will always be, it’s a writer.
When I was in the second grade, I had a teacher that would be very influential in my life, say she knew I was going to be a writer after I wrote the longest short story in my class. It was something I couldn’t get out of my head and from that point on I felt I had my north star in life.
In 2016, I graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in Screenwriting. I’m an avid journal writer and to date have filled about 11 journals. Writing is mental health for me. It brings me joy, self exploration, and fulfillment in many ways.
Here’s a bit more about my writing background:
My feature script A Girl Named No placed as QF in the 2025 Creative Screenwriting Unique Voices Screenplay Competition and Table Read My Screenplay QF 2024. The TV Pilot I Co-Wrote with Lacey Buchanan, Heartbreak Hotel, landed as an AFF 2022 2nd rounder and 2022 Screencraft Fellowship Quarterfinalist and is currently in Development with a production company. I am also in development with a thriller feature (co-written with Lacey Buchanan) with Seldy Gray at Roth/Kirschenbaum Films.
Feature scripts I’ve written include
-A Girl Named No
-Austin Isn’t Real
-Lone Pine
I have been a contributing writer for Sound & Picture magazine, InMag, and Enspire Entertainment magazines. I currently have a Substack called A Front Row Seat where I write about creativity, filmmaking, and the journey of becoming. From 2017 - 2021, I ran my own blog, The Constant Creative.

A Front Row Seat To: Directing My First Short Film
So why hadn’t I created more? I’ve spent the last nearly two years asking myself this question and trying hard not to beat myself up for the answer. Which, to the best of my understanding, has been: because I wasn’t the person I needed to be, to come to the conclusion that writing and directing my own short, having a strong vision and feeling like I needed to be the one to make that vision come to life, was the only way I would pave my path forward. And all I can say is that I find that to be incredibly irritating.

Editor Kevin Stitt Helps Bring Jurassic World to Life, written by Samantha Skelton
It’s doesn’t seem plausible that Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park consumed theaters over twenty years ago. Whenever we come across the film on television, it’s hard to change the channel. It just has this timeless essence to it, laced with unforgettable imagery – like when the water glass starts to ripple because of the threat of T-Rex. It’s iconic. Now, a new generation gets to experience the flesh-eating franchise with its fourth installment, Jurassic World, and the movie doesn’t disappoint. We had the privilege of talking to editor Kevin Stitt, who tied all the action and terror together in this adventure film.

Strength in Vulnerability With Aundrea DeMille, written By Samantha Skelton
Aundrea DeMille believes that empathy is the way forward and I couldn’t agree with her more. She’s making waves in not only her own community, but in the world, teaching others The Mind Model to heal our biases. We talked about what led her to be vulnerable on a large platform and how her book, Is It Racism? How to Heal the Human Divide, is bringing people together.
